Jug

Handmade "Istrian Bukaleta", a traditional jug or goblet made of baked clay. It is used for serving wine and for preparing and serving Istrian soup. The shape of the buccalet has not changed much in the past, and elements such as the holding handle and the beak for casting the liquid have always existed, while only the body of the jug has changed over time. The lower part begins with expansion into a belly-shaped shape, followed by narrowing and continues into a fan-shaped opening. Manufacturing technology has now, as in the past, required making on a pottery wheel.
