Malvasia - quality wine

This is a wine that truly defines the ease of being in Istria. Here, where the alpine and Mediterranean climate blend harmoniously, it is home to the Malvasia Istriana grape variety, although it is also found along the Italian border.

Many species (or clones) of this variety are cultivated, especially not the Mediterranean, but here, in the northernmost Adriatic peninsula, Malvasia is at its peak: clean, clear, fresh and fragrant.

In 2011, the summer was warm and the ripe berries were picked early by hand and then cooled immediately to preserve the true fruity and floral aroma of Malvasia at its peak, ending with honey in bloom. Dry, yet rounded and long-lasting, it is perfectly served at 10-120 Celsius, with fresh seafood and nothing more than a drop of lemon juice and some fine Istrian olive oil.

Ease, as we say in Istria.
