Istrian Malvasia from the Santa Lucia location (1961). Aged for 6 months in a 30 hl wooden barrel and 6 months in stainless steel. Expressive varietal characteristics, elegant and ripe fruitiness and minerality. A collector's wine with the potential to age for 10+ years.

Santa Lucia Malvasia is 100% Istrian Malvasia grown in the Santa Lucia vineyard (single vineyard). If we say that our fresh Malvasia is our most important wine, then Santa Lucia Malvasia is the wine in which we want to show all the splendor and potential of the Istrian Malvasia variety, its beauty and reach, because Santa Lucia Malvasia can be aged for more than 10 years. At first glance, it shows a deep golden color with a beautiful shine. On the nose, it is expressive, attractive and immediately unleashes a palette of aromas such as acacia, vanilla, bread, gingerbread. It is rich in floral scents and aromas of yellow fruit, ripe peaches and apricots. This is a wine in top form, with refined, complex aromas interwoven and which communicates the dominant character of Istrian Malvasia as a variety from the first sniff.

On the palate, it is completely dry, with a firm and slightly oily texture that, when swirled in the mouth, provides the pleasure of discovering the layers it contains. Full-bodied and complex in character with dominant floral notes, and finely intertwined wood that has integrated through slow maturation. The freshness is moderate, and the experience on the palate is lively. All in all, in the mouth the wine worthily confirms everything we find on the nose, so it is a great wine but by no means heavy, but rather ethereally refined, with a mild saltiness, full of enjoyment for wine lovers. Indeed, Santa Lucia Malvasia 2018 is an exceptional example of the Santa Lucia vineyard and the Istrian Malvasia variety.

It will go wonderfully with fish in creamy sauces, grilled scallops, mushroom risotto, pasta with rich sauces, and many other warm dishes.
