Teran

Dark ripe fruit, lively freshness and good tannins are the varietal characteristics of this Teran. Its color is a Teran purple, and it exudes the aroma of ripe black cherries and forest fruits. Edible and fresh, it will accompany grilled meats and oily fish perfectly.

Medium-deep purple color, slightly less intense than what we usually get from a typical Teran. This is partly due to the fresher nature of the 2023 harvest, but also due to less extraction at the winery.
Very open, youthful on the nose, with a good amount of red and black fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, black cherries and forest fruits with a nice spicy layer like black pepper. Dark and ripe, but still fresh. Quite similar to the 2022 harvest when the newer style of Teran began to appear in our winery. Further aromas develop over time.
It is somewhat lighter and drier on the palate with quite spicy, herbal notes. High acidity, typical of Teran and the 2023 vintage, gives it freshness and liveliness. Tannins are minimal due to low extraction, but noticeable. A refreshing, modern style of Istrian Teran that is characterized by drinkability, fruitiness and liveliness. Recommendation: wine for "by the glass".

A perfect accompaniment to grilled meat, pasta and hard and soft cheeses. On the other hand, it is quite a universal food accompaniment and can be used for a wide variety of dishes.
