Agrolaguna's Špin sheep cheese was declared the best in the world at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards

Poreč's Agrolaguna produces some of the best cheeses in Istria. Even though they are widely available, their Špin cheeses are completely manufactured at the Špin station in Tar. These days, the quality of Špin cheeses was confirmed by the judges at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards, the world's largest evaluation of cheeses and dairy products held in England.

Špin sheep cheese received a gold medal and was declared the best in the hard sheep cheese category. This year, more than 5,500 samples from all over the world were evaluated, and the three best cheeses in the world were declared in each category.

Agrolaguna's cheese Špin sheep cheese is produced from the milk of its own herds. Around two thousand Laguna sheep graze in the vicinity of Špin, Ovčji je sir is probably the best cheese of Špin's base line and the best value for money when it comes to high-quality domestic cheese in Croatian supermarkets.
