TAR: SANDRA AND ELVIO KOKOLO

The love for the Istrian land, vines and olives, which are traditionally cultivated in Istria, has been translated by this hardworking family into quality wines.
Their wines have been awarded multiple times at numerous competitions, which confirms their quality. In their range of products, in addition to several types of wine, they also have olive oil from their own olive groves. Olive oil from Tar and Vabriga has long been recognized as the main carrier of the continuity of the local way of life in this area - from antiquity to the present day.

The owners of OPG are Sandra and Elvio Kokolo, who over the years have created a recognizable brand with their hard work and love for the land and its fruits. They started from scratch and today they have a large number of products and many loyal guests. They live exclusively from the sale of their wines and olive oil, mostly on their doorstep. They own five hectares of their vineyards and about 400 olive trees, located in olive groves in the area of Tara near Lanterna.
Otherwise, they work alone, and then their daughter Alexsia helps them in the summer. Son Patrik helps when he can, because he owns a wine shop in Novigrad and sells family wines and oils, along with other Istrian products.

"Our family has been engaged in viticulture and winemaking since ancient times, when our ancestors made wine only for their own needs. With effort and dedication, we built new vineyards. Thanks to our own knowledge, love and with the help of technology, we improved the quality of our wines, which have been awarded with various awards. On 5 hectares of vineyards, we nurture: Malvazija Istria, Teran Chardonnay, Merlot, SAuvignon Blanc and Muscat."
"Olive, northwest coast of Istria, TAR, 2 km from the sea. An ideal place to obtain liquid gold "Extra virgin olive oil of high quality" from black and green hand-picked and cold-pressed olive fruits."
