Caldierosso

Caldierosso is our core red wine obtained from Terano blended with Nebbiola, Merlot and Tempranillo. We named it after the place Kaldir (Caldier), in the vicinity of which there are vineyards where its grapes grow. Teran in the blend is responsible for authenticity and juiciness, Nebbiolo for the tannic backbone and aromas of red fruit, Merlot for fruitiness and body, and Tempranillo for structure and a Mediterranean note. Everything together gives a layered wine with finesse that exudes freshness and Istrian vivacity.

The wine is a darker red purple color. It is rich and lively, juicy at the beginning, mineral on the finish, with a firm tannic backbone. Liveliness and fruitiness are the main characteristics of the taste, and the aroma is a layering of aromas such as black berries mixed with notes of black cherry, ripe plum, cedar and tobacco. It has an excellent balance between ripeness and juiciness, fullness and elegance, and has enough charming character to drink it every day with a family lunch, while also being suitable for special occasions.

Along with red meats such as grilled rump steak and other similar smoked meats with a juicier character. Then with more aromatic meats such as lamb chops or pork ribs, more juicily prepared. Also with pasta Bolognese and other pastas with dark sauces.
