SANTA LUCIA NOIR

A cuvee of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Teran from the Santa Lucia site. Aged in barrique barrels for 18 months. Deep ruby colour, with aromas of ripe black berries. Full-bodied and deliciously fresh, complex and expressive character. A collector's wine with the potential to age for 10+ years.

Santa Lucia Noir is Kozlović's expression of "superistrian", created from the indigenous Teran variety and two international varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, all three grown in the Santa Lucia vineyard (single vineyard).

The colour is dense, deep ruby, which is to be expected given the varieties from which the wine is made. The seduction is already noticeable on the nose. It is an intense, complex aroma that develops beautifully, abundant with ripe dark and black fruit, a fine touch of wood, dark chocolate and spices. Smoky nuances only further contribute to the complexity, and the finish is long and memorable. In conclusion, we can say that Santa Lucia Noir is a wine created with great skill and wisdom.

It is dry on the palate, with abundant freshness coming from Teran and the strength of ripe tannins from both Bordeaux varieties. Therefore, Santa Lucia Noir is full-bodied, powerful and with good linear dimension. The aromatic profile is intense, with tertiary aromas. The long-term aging has given a wonderful result: the wine is of perfect ripeness and is completely ready, while at the same time possessing exceptional storage potential. We definitely recommend that you decant the Santa Lucia Noir 2017 wine before serving!

Pair with steaks, hard aged cheeses and game.
